Once the hose is compromised, water tends to leak from the washer. Additionally, a damaged drain hose can also impede the <a href=\"https:\/\/simplyswider.com\/washer-is-not-draining\/\">washer&#8217;s draining process<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Identification:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/HomeMaintenance\/comments\/15wg25l\/washer_leaking_from_bottom_after_moving_front\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Reddit user<\/a> noticed their washer started leaking and making loud noises after moving it to a new home. It turned out the <strong>drain hose had been damaged during the move<\/strong>. Therefore, it&#8217;s advisable to inspect your washer&#8217;s internal drain hose for any signs of damage. You can do this by gently flexing the hose and <strong>looking for any cracks or tears<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you find that the internal drain hose is damaged, the only way to stop the leak is to replace it. Start by unplugging your washer and turning off the hot and cold water supplies. This can cause the hose to crack and leak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A member of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/simplyswider\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Facebook community<\/a> faced this issue with his <strong>LG WM2688HWM Tromm Front Load Washer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I visited his house, I found that the back of his washer was almost <strong>touching the wall<\/strong>. This caused the external drain hose to puncture when the washer vibrated during a wash cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Inspecting the external drain hose<\/strong> follows a procedure very similar to that for the internal hose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simply <strong>gently bend the drain hose<\/strong> and check for any cracks or tears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you find that the external hose is broken, it must be replaced with a new one. First, <strong>unplug your washer<\/strong> and <strong>pull the drain hose out of the wall<\/strong>. If this hose gets punctured or damaged, it will leak water, potentially creating a large pool underneath your washer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Identification:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A member of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/simplyswider\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Facebook community<\/a> contacted Jacob when her <strong>Samsung WF45T6000A Front Load Washer<\/strong> started leaking. After inspecting both the dispenser and drain hoses, he decided to check the dispenser hose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jacob <strong>removed the back access cover, located the dispenser hose, and inspected it.<\/strong> He eventually discovered that <strong>the hose was damaged<\/strong>, causing the washer to leak water and nearly ruin the client&#8217;s hardwood floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you find that the dispenser hose is damaged, it must be replaced to fix your washer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before attempting the replacement, I recommend turning off your washer to avoid electrocution.
