Hopefully we will be closing on the new house in two weeks! Since we’ve been this close before only have it all blow-up in our faces, I’m not holding my breath. However, I am still cautiously optimistic. A couple of weeks ago I shared with you the mood boards for our mid-century inspired family room and vintage white kitchen. With the decor in the main rooms mostly picked out, I started dreaming up what to do with the 5 bedrooms in the house. You read that right. I have 5 different bedroom to decorate! So, this week I am going to share with you 4 different ideas I’ve come up with for bedrooms. First up is a Bohemian bedroom inspired by Moroccan designs. Once upon a time I was actually quite bohemian in my decorating choices, and I was thinking it might be fun to get back to those roots with the guest bedroom. Here’s what I have brainstormed up:
My inspiration for this room really came from perusing the Anthropologie website which is really my favorite source for bohemian decor. I love the eclectic mix of colors balanced out by the rustic wood tones. I think my favorite accents in the room are that amazing beaded chandelier, the whale book ends which are just fun, and the ethnic reclaimed wood oars. I’m sort salivating over the thought of trying to make that chandelier myself.
So what do you think? As a guest would you find this room fun and energetic? Or would you find it too busy to relax?
